Personal Profile

Wang Cun (formerly known as Wang Ai Village, pen name Chen He) is a member of the China Arts and Crafts Society, a member of the Hebei Provincial Collectors Association, a member of the Ji School Association, and a Hebei Provincial Folk Arts and Crafts Master. In 1993, he apprenticed under the renowned inner painting artist Mr. Li Guangli to study inner painting, and later furthered his studies under Mr. Lu Junwei, a distinguished disciple of Mr. Wang Xisan, China’s Arts and Crafts Master and founder of the Ji School of inner painting. He specializes in figures and birds-and-flowers, with most of his works themed around Buddhist figures and traditional characters. His brushwork is delicate, his calligraphic style is ancient and simple, and his overall aesthetic is fresh and elegant, earning high praise from collectors both at home and abroad.
