Zhang Guangxing, styled as the Master of Runmo Studio, was born in 1963 in Ningjin, Hebei. He currently resides in Beijing. Passionate about calligraphy and painting since childhood, he initially studied the styles of Liu Gongquan and Yan Zhenqing, later focusing on Ouyang Xun, while also practicing from the芥子园画谱 (Jieziyuan Huapu). He is currently a member of the China Calligraphers Association, a director of the Hebei Calligraphers Association, and a member of the Hebei Artists Association. Proficient in all four script styles, he excels particularly in clerical script and running-regular script; capable of writing both minute small regular script and large-scale monumental characters. His most representative works are his "Eight-Break" paintings, collected by multiple institutions. He has received the Excellence Award in the National Calligraphy and Painting Miniature Competition, the Second Prize in the “Appointment with Beijing” National Literary and Art Competition, and the First Prize in the Xingtai Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition for Copying Ancient Scripts. He actively engages in charitable causes, having donated several artworks to students at a middle school in Shandong, providing them with high-quality artistic materials for studying calligraphy.
