Wang Qingshan, a peasant painter, styled himself as Jili Hermit, was born in Lixian County, Hebei Province, the hometown of the renowned Chinese painting master Huang Zhou.
Since childhood, influenced by his family’s cultural and artistic environment, he became deeply fascinated with traditional Chinese painting. Self-taught through studying the essence of various masters, he has persisted in painting for decades without ever abandoning his pursuit of calligraphy and painting art. Through continuous learning, reflection, and innovation, he has developed his own distinctive style, thus gaining broader room for development.
His works have won awards in numerous calligraphy and painting competitions, earned recognition from many fellow artists, and have been collected by people from all walks of life.
