Wang Hui, styled Chaohui, female, born in 1973 in Hebei Nangong. A meticulous-style painter, also skilled in oil painting, gouache, and watercolor. In her early years, she studied meticulous figure, animal, and bird-and-flower painting under Xing Liqing. Later, guided by her father (Chu bamboo-slip calligrapher) Wang Weirong, she learned Ouyang Xun-style regular script and gradually achieved mastery. Currently a member of the Xingtai Municipal Artists Association. Her portraits of Confucius, Guan Yu, Buddha, Guanyin, and Laozi are vividly rendered with remarkable vitality and spirit. Her ancient court ladies and modern young girls are exquisitely graceful and naturally elegant. The Four Great Beauties each possess distinct charm. Her meticulous line-drawing rendition of "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" presents myriad scenes, vividly depicting the prosperity and flourishing atmosphere of ancient times. Her flower-and-bird paintings—peonies, grapes, etc.—are rendered with exquisite detail. Her peacock paintings and fur-textured animals appear especially lifelike and endearing.
