Wang Yanan

      Wang Yanan, National First-Class Artist, works at the Pingquan City Bureau of Tourism, Culture, Radio and Television in Hebei Province. Currently, she is a member of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Association, a member of the Hebei Provincial Artists Association, a member of the Hebei Provincial Gongbi Painting Association, Chairperson of the Pingquan City Artists Association, Director of the Pingquan City Art Museum, Member of the Pingquan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and Delegate to the Chengde Municipal Party Congress. She has consecutively won the City Literature and Art Prosperity Award for three terms and has been honored with titles such as “Hebei Yanzhao Cultural Star,” “Chengde Outstanding Professional Talent,” and “Scholarly Family.”
       Her works are primarily in the gongbi (meticulous brushwork) style, supplemented by xieyi (freehand brushwork). Her works have been selected for the 11th and 13th National Art Exhibitions (Hebei selection exhibitions) and have won awards; she has received numerous provincial and municipal honors. Her works have also been selected for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Selected Works Exhibition, the Invitational Exhibition of the Three Provinces Cultural Industry Expo (Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning), and the “Ode to New China, Singing Praises of the New Era — Thematic Exhibition of a Strong and Beautiful Hebei in the New Era” (Shijiazhuang Beijing touring exhibition). Her works have been published multiple times in professional publications such as Art Panorama, Yanzhao Literature, People’s Education, Contemporary Magazine, China Enterprise Magazine, Art Newspaper, Art Market Newspaper, Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Newspaper, Children’s Art Newspaper, and Shenzhou Poetry and Calligraphy Newspaper. Chengde Evening News and Chengde City Television Station have produced special reports on her. Her works are collected by multiple media outlets, well-known enterprises, and government departments at all levels.
