Zhang Cheng, native of An’guo City, Baoding, Hebei. Skilled in calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting, and photography.

Formerly served as Art Editor of the People's Navy newspaper under the Navy Political Department. Currently Director of the Art Editorial Department of Hebei Provincial Party Committee’s Party Journal and National First-Class Artist. Member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association and Chinese Artists Association, Member of the National Youth Federation, Chairman of Hebei Youth Calligraphers and Painters Association, Editor-in-Chief of Contemporary Calligraphers and Painters Magazine, Vice Chairman of Hebei News Calligraphers and Painters Association, Vice President and Secretary-General of Hebei Landscape Painting Research Association, specially appointed painter of Hebei Academy of Painting, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts and Hebei Academy of Fine Arts.
