Personal Profile

Li Baoqi, male, born in June 1957, is originally from Yanjiao Town, Sanhe City, Hebei Province. Since childhood, he has had a passion for calligraphy and painting. In 1984, he studied freehand brushwork, including fish, shrimp, and crabs, under the renowned Chinese painting master Li Chunzao. In 1990, he apprenticed under the master of board-pen painting and calligraphy, Guo Zhenjiu, learning what is now also known as “dragon-wind flower-and-bird characters.” After mastering the craft, he has been engaged in this field ever since, participating in board-pen painting exchanges at numerous temple fairs, the China World Hotel, major shopping malls, government agencies, schools, and communities. In 2017, he began working at Beijing Xiushui Street, specializing in creating artworks for foreign friends. His works have spread worldwide and are highly praised by international audiences.
