Yang Mo, actor of films and TV plays, playwright, poet, calligrapher, impersonator of Chairman Mao Zedong, member of the China Democratic League, expert in production capacity planning of China, president of the Mao Zedong Poetry Calligraphy Culture Research Institute of China Couplet Association, was born on May 5, 1958 in Nan Gong City, Hebei Province. He joined the army in 1977 and served as a radio operator and driver during the Sino-Vietnamese self-defense counterattack war. In 1991, he entered the performing circle when cooperating with the Frontline Drama Troupe of the Nanjing Military Region to produce the TV series "Tiger Squats on Zhongshan". In 2000, he established Beijing Yang Mo Film and Television Culture Development Co., Ltd., mainly organizing large-scale calligraphy and painting exhibitions and organizing large-scale social activities. His participated film and television works include "Jing Ke Assassinating Qin", "Spring's Madness", "Patrol Team Nine", "Alang in Beijing" etc. In 2008, he founded the Xibaipo Red Song Art Troupe, serving as the troupe leader. In 2013, the Pingju Opera "Exam" written and starred by Yang Mo was performed at the Xibaipo Security Education Museum, Tianjin Grand Hall, and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Auditorium. It won the Excellent Play Award at the Ninth National Pingju Art Festival and provided compulsory education for more than 90 million Communist Party members on the Communist Party Member Distance Education Network. In 2018, the variety show "On the Road to the Exam" compiled, directed and acted by Yang Mo made its debut on the Exam Stage of the revolutionary holy land Xibaipo, receiving high praise from tourists. In 2018, Yang Mo was selected as the "Annual Person of China" in the field of film and television stars.
