Personal Profile

Peng Yingqi, styled Benle, also known as Master of Leyi Studio, Master of Xuanhu Hall, and Child of the Mountains. Born in September 1990 in Shahe City, Hebei Province, he has lived in Pengnao Village since childhood. After graduating from junior high school in 2006, driven by his deep passion for painting, he enrolled in August of the same year at Dongfang Art School in Rencheng District, Jining City, Shandong Province. Upon completing his secondary vocational education, he was recommended by the school in 2008 to pursue a college degree in Fine Arts at Binzhou University. Homeroom teachers: Ms. Zhang Lin, Ms. Pi Qiuli, Ms. Mao Tong, Chinese painting instructor: Mr. Liu Yong, Calligraphy instructors: Mr. Xu Baoming, Mr. Liu Jidun, Oil painting instructor: Ms. Pi Qiuli, Design instructor: Mr. Liu Xiaolong. In childhood, he accidentally heard a saying:To paint a person is to gain a friend.May the four walls be filled with noble companions!For over a decade, he has never forgotten this, persistently painting portraits to this day.In studying figure painting,he earnestly seeks inspiration from the works of Mr. Jiang Zhaohuo, Mr. Lin Shaodan, and Mr. Liu Yuyi.In poetry composition,he earnestly seeks inspiration from the styles of Mr. Li Bai, Mr. Su Shi, Mr. Xin Qiji, Ms. Li Qingzhao, Mr. Wang Guozhen, and Ms. Xi Murong.In literary creation,he earnestly seeks inspiration from the spirits of Mr. Lu Xun, Mr. Wu Guanzhong, and Mr. Huang Yongyu. After completing his college studies, he happened to hear another saying by the poet Mr. Wang Guozhen:A true man must always journey toward the distance; journeying toward the distance is to make life more brilliant. Walking on rugged, uneven roads, youthful eyes hold dreams—and even more, thoughts.Whether walking alone or accompanied by others, let every step be firm and powerful! Resolutely bidding farewell to friends and companions, he left the land of Qilu and journeyed north alone once again, solely to pursue the childhood dream of becoming a painter!
