Personal Profile

Sun Yanling, styled Ping Shi, also known as the Master of Lushan Pavilion, was born in 1949 in Hebei Hengshui. He is a member of the China Calligraphers Association, Vice President of Nanjing Hanmo Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Honorary Vice Chairman of Hainan Calligraphy and Painting Art Network, and Guest Professor at Sanya Tianya Art Museum. He holds the title of National First-Class Calligrapher. Since childhood, he has loved calligraphy, worked as a teacher, and once served in a certain Air Force ground crew. In 2017, he won the Calligraphy and Painting Creation Award from “Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area,” with his work permanently collected. In 2019, he received the Gold Award at the 7th "Chinese Dream Cup" Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition. In the same year, he also won the "Gold Award" at the 19th National "Lushan Cup" Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition. In 2020, he received the Gold Award at the “Ink China Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition.” His works have been collected by numerous international friends, calligraphy and painting enthusiasts, and galleries.
