Personal Profile

Zhang Zhanling,from Xinji, Hebei, has loved painting since childhood. The renowned local painter Zhang Shun was my启蒙 (mentor) teacher, under whose guidance I learned the fundamentals of art. After China's reform and opening-up policy, relying on my knowledge of painting, I established a small porcelain tile mural factory locally in 1992, thus beginning my artistic creation on porcelain panels. This journey has continued for decades. In 2015, I met the contemporary famous artist Gu Jiashen, and under Master Gu’s careful instruction over recent years, my painting skills have significantly improved. In 2018, one of my works was selected for inclusion in the "Three Mountains and Five Sacred Peaks" thousand-meter scroll. In 2019, I won the fifth prize at the National Guocui Cup Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition, receiving an award certificate. Also in 2019, I became a council member of the China International Painting and Calligraphy Association. In 2020, I won the gold award at the "Ink Rhyme of China" National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition, receiving certificates, medals, and other honors. My artworks are sold throughout the country and are frequently featured online, including on headline platforms, Kuaishou, Baidu, and others.
