Yin Bingshen, male, born in 1949, native of Shijiazhuang, Hebei.

Currently a member of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, owner of Shiyan Studio, President of Lin Yutang Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Standing Director of Fengbeisong Organizing Committee, and Director of Dongyuan Calligraphy and Painting Academy. Also a researcher at Hebei Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Institute and a member of Shijiazhuang Calligraphers Association.

He has studied calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting since childhood, practicing over a hundred characters daily with unwavering persistence, vowing never to cease writing. For over sixty years, he has maintained this discipline and continuously improved his skills. Later, he focused on mastering the essence of the “Two Wangs” and Mi Fu, while also studying regular script from Tang dynasty masters such as Ouyang Xun and Chu Suiliang. Drawing strengths from various schools, he excels in running script and regular script. While learning from ancient brush techniques, he diligently studied the compositional essence of masterpieces throughout history, emphasizing distinctive innovation. His works embody a harmonious beauty that feels naturally formed—dignified, ancient, solemn, and composed, with elegant, powerful strokes that convey inner strength. His paintings feature smooth, rounded brushwork, refined and graceful coloring, expressive vitality and fluidity, rich ink tones, and an organic, unified aesthetic. He is a rare master proficient in both calligraphy and painting. In 2015, his calligraphy fetched an auction price of 8,000 RMB per square foot.

He has participated in numerous national and regional calligraphy and painting exhibitions and competitions, winning first and second prizes. Many of his works have been published in provincial and municipal newspapers, magazines, and other media outlets.

His 10-meter-long small regular script scroll of the “Diamond Sutra” has been permanently collected by Nanputuo Temple in Fujian, Bailin Temple in Zhao County, Hebei, and Linji Temple in Zhengding Ancient City, possessing significant collectible value.
