Wei Kejian
Personal Profile
      Wei Kejian, born in 1970, is a rural native of Guiping, Guangxi. Originally trained in electromechanical integration, he has also explored a wide range of disciplines from various schools of thought. In his leisure time, he is deeply devoted to calligraphy, having practiced for over thirty years without interruption, meticulously studying the brush techniques of historical masters of cursive script while refusing to be bound by tradition. His ink flows with his heart’s motion, his brush follows no fixed method—spontaneous, unrestrained, and effortlessly expressive; his strokes tilt and sway, light and heavy as he wishes, slow or swift at will, as if in a state of intoxication or madness. Often working in groups of three or five, or seven or eight, he frequently writes more than ten characters in a single continuous stroke until the ink dries up, yet the spirit endures. From the very beginning of his career, his works have attracted attention and been collected by industry professionals and collectors alike.

     His works have been selected for the large-scale illustrated volume "Great Beauty of China";
       Selected for the magazine "Chase the Wind in China," edited by CCTV's "Smart China" program;
       His works have been featured multiple times on international and domestic postage stamps and published in numerous large-scale commemorative stamp albums both internationally and domestically;
