Personal Profile

Liu Shaowei, born in the late summer of 1961 in a family of scholars and teachers, has been interested in painting and calligraphy since childhood. He was deeply influenced by his uncle Liu Changchao. Now he has become a disciple of Professor Xu Wenguo, a descendant of Bada Shanren. He has a special fondness for cranes and bamboo, and is known as "The Crane Lord of Lingnan" in the cultural and art circle.
