Personal Profile
Lin Yao, who has devoted himself to the painting of Bauhinia flowers for many years, is currently a painter at the Lingnan Art Academy of Guangdong, a senior researcher at the Lingnan Institute of Poetry, Calligraphy and Painting in Guangdong, a member of the Shantou Artists Association, and vice chairman of the Jinting District Artists Association of Shantou. He was nurtured by his family's artistic heritage and has loved ink painting since childhood. Later, he studied under the renowned painter Yang Siyuan, focusing on flower and bird paintings. Many of his works have participated in exhibitions at various levels and occasions.
November 2006: Group exhibition held at the Jinting District Cultural Center in Shantou.
October 2007: Work "Spring Sentiment, Not Worldly - Red and Purple Blossom Together" was selected for the Guangdong Provincial Art Exhibition.
March 2009 : "Lin Yao - Chinese Flower and Bird Painting Exhibition" held in the main hall of the Jinting District Government of Shantou City.
March 2011 : The work "Splendid Splendor" (245×125cm) was collected and displayed in the main hall by the "Hailiuge Museum" in Shantou.
August 2011 : "Fragrant of Summer - Lin Yao's Chinese Flower and Bird Painting Exhibition" held at the "Chenxiangge Art Center" in Shantou City.
October 2011 : The work "Praise of Pine and Plum" (360×130cm) was collected and displayed in the exhibition hall by the "Dongzhengjun Historical Site Exhibition Hall" in Shantou City.
May 2012 : Participated in the "2012 Second Guangzhou International Artworks Trading Fair" held at the Baiyun International Conference Center in Guangzhou, where the work "Bauhinia Beautifully Emerging from Branches" won the Excellent Award.
September 2012 : Large-scale work (365×145cm) "A Symphony of Countless Colors" was collected and displayed in the conference hall by the Guangdong Branch of the People's Daily.
November 2014: "Purple Elegance, Fragrant Scent - Lin Yao's Flower and Bird Painting Exhibition" held at the "Mingsheng Art Garden" in the Zhujiang New Town of Guangzhou.
January 2015 : Participated in the "Yiren Youyi - Huangpu 16 People's Spring Festival Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" at the Qishi Cultural Center in Dongguan City.
