 Gong Bo, male, born in 1962, style name Yizhi, pseudonym Dinglei, currently resides in Guangzhou. In 1978, he joined the military, participated in the self-defense war against Vietnam, and after the war, studied medicine and worked as a doctor. Influenced by his parents since childhood, he learned calligraphy. He was taught by his family from an early age. In 1989, he graduated from the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Correspondence University with a major in calligraphy. Later, he studied calligraphy under the famous calligraphers Li Qianshan and Lei Yunting of the China Calligraphers Association. He practiced diligently, studied various steles extensively, and visited masters in places such as Henan, Hebei, Shandong, Guangdong, Guangxi, etc. His main focus is on Ouyang-style regular script, and he studies the cursive scripts of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi, absorbing the strengths of various masters, gradually forming his own style. His works have participated in international and national calligraphy exhibitions and have won awards. He is currently a Senior Calligrapher of the State, a member of the Guangzhou National Painting Academy, a member of the Xiguan Painting Academy in Guangzhou, the president of the Guangzhou Moudao Calligraphy Academy, the president of the Veteran Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and the vice president of the Zaozhuang Hometown Painting Academy.
