Personal Profile
Yiding, whose real name is Wu Hanjie, is a national-level art master. He was born in Maoming, Guangdong. From an early age, he has been passionate about painting and calligraphy. Since 1990, he has studied under Professor Jiang Jin from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. His works have been exhibited in many events, such as the 115th anniversary of Ye Jianying's birth, the Hong Kong International Calligraphers and Painters Association Exhibition, the Guangdong Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Association Exhibition, the Guangdong Provincial Calligraphers and Painters Association Exhibition, and the Guangdong Hengxin Calligraphy and Painting Academy Exhibition. In October 2013 and December 2014, he held personal exhibitions in Guangzhou. In January 2016, he held a personal exhibition at the Maoming City Museum, and in December 2016, he held a personal exhibition at the Guangdong Hengxin Calligraphy and Painting Academy. His works have their own characteristics and are deeply loved by calligraphy and painting enthusiasts, often published in various publications. In 2005, his works "Bamboo Reporting Peace" and "Red Kapok" were sent to the United Nations Haiti Mission Area with the Chinese peacekeeping police and riot control team to participate in international friendly exchanges. In 2012, his work won theGold Award in the "Celebrating the 18th National Congress and the National Day Guangdong Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Association Exhibition". In 2013, his ink painting work "Red Pomegranate" was selected for the "2013 Guangdong Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Association Exhibition" and won theSilver Award. In January and April 2016, his freehand flower and bird paintings "Vivid Colors Attract Butterflies Dancing" and "Plum, Orchid, Bamboo, and Chrysanthemum" won theSilver Award in the "Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Annual Exhibition of the Year Bing Shen" jointly held by the China Artists Association, the China Calligraphers Association, and the China Encyclopedia of Calligraphy and Painting. In March 2016, his ink wash landscape painting "Unceasing Jade Spring, Happy Mountains" won theGold Award in the "Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Annual Exhibition of the Year Bing Shen" jointly held by the China Artists Association, the China Calligraphers Association, and the China Encyclopedia of Calligraphy and Painting. In November 2016, his freehand flower and bird painting "Enduring Tempests, Valuable for Having Roots" and his ink wash landscape painting "Mighty Mountains and Rivers" won theGold Award in the "National Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting Photo Competition Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Long March of the Red Army".In 2018, he was honored as the Annual Figure in the Cultural and Artistic Center.
He is currently a member of the Maoming City Artists Association in Guangdong Province, a specially appointed painter of the Maoming City Calligraphy and Painting Academy, the Bayi Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and the Sydney Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Academy, vice chairman of the Guangdong Calligraphers and Painters Association, vice chairman of the Guangdong Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, vice president of the Guangdong Hengxin Calligraphy and Painting Academy, member of the China Artists Association, and vice chairman of the China Flower and Bird Painting Association.
