Personal Profile

Xue Ji Quan, a native of Qingyuan City, Guangdong. He was rated by the National Art and Calligraphy Title Evaluation Center as a "National First-Class Calligrapher" with a work rating of 15,000-20,000 RMB per square meter. His calligraphy "One Stroke Dragon" was rated as a "Famous Brand". He is a Standing Director of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association, a Guest Professor and Academician of the Huaxia Lanting Art Academy in Beijing, Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage Society, Honorary Chairman of the International Chinese Literati Association, and a member of the China's Outstanding Calligraphers and Painters Association. From childhood, he has been passionate about calligraphy and painting, devoting himself to his craft for decades, carefully studying the four great ancient masters of calligraphy: Ouyang Xun, Yan Zhenqing, Liu Gongquan, and Zhao Mengfu, and diligently practicing the works of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi. He integrates the essence of previous artists and develops his own unique style. His brushwork is smooth and unbroken, powerful and decisive, stable amidst danger, firm and unshakable. It seems like being drunk yet not really, with bold strokes and steady composition, fully expressing the spirit and artistic meaning of calligraphy. His works have been exhibited multiple times and have won gold awards. In January 2018, the limited edition collectible postage album "The Belt and Road Dream - Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy Master Xue Ji Quan" was released globally. In May 2018, his representative work "Qingpingyue: Liupanshan" by Mao Zedong and his inscription "The Spirit of the Great Wall Will Be Passed Down for Generations" were engraved on the new Great Wall of China for permanent display.
