Chinese calligraphy was born together with Chinese characters in the ancient civilization of China, so it not only has practical value but also higher artistic appreciation value. Therefore, more and more people have learned calligraphy, and more and more people like to appreciate and collect calligraphy works. A simple Chinese character is composed of several strokes, and the strokes vary in size and thickness, while the shapes of the characters differ in length. Therefore, when writing, it is required that the sizes of the characters are varied, and the strokes and characters should be connected in meaning even if they are separated visually. The entire picture should also have rhythmic changes, which tests the cultural accomplishment and artistic cultivation of the writer. Liu Xizai said in "Yi Gai · Shu Gai": "Calligraphy is like. Like its learning, like its talent, like its will, in short, like its person." The running script works of Mr. Xie Zehui not only have unique styles, but are also very beautiful. For example, in the work "Heaven Moves Forward", the entire piece uses strong and thick strokes, with a continuous momentum, like dragons and snakes flying, elegant and free-spirited, grand and magnificent, bold and unrestrained, full of a heroic and unrestrained atmosphere. It can be said that "every stroke follows the rules but is not restricted by them, each character has its origin but is not bound by it." His works are smooth and concise, full of momentum, strong and solid, and full of vitality without being arrogant or humble. In the work "Fu", it reflects a spirit of vigor and joy. The entire piece is free and easy yet steady, vigorous yet gentle, elegant yet substantial in artistic style. These all come from Mr. Xie Zehui's own cultivation and exquisite brushwork skills, creating these calligraphy works! We all know that an excellent work not only requires a striking external form structure for the viewer, but also emphasizes internal spirit and inner meaning. Each Chinese character, through different writers, is infused with their own expression methods, thus producing various forms and styles. Rhythm is an indispensable factor in an excellent work because only with rhythm can there be dynamic beauty. If a calligraphy work has profound connotation and high rhythm, it can move the viewer. This kind of emotion is the highest goal that the creator pursues, and it is also the requirement of the viewer for a calligraphy artwork. An excellent calligraphy work can reflect the self-cultivation and artistic cultivation of the calligraphy creator. From Mr. Xie Zehui's calligraphy works, we can easily see that his calligraphy is alive, filled with spirit, freedom, elegance, and full of momentum and grandeur. These all come from Mr. Xie Zehui's extensive absorption of the essence of various masters, blending them into one, and combining with his deep understanding of calligraphy over the years, resulting in today's expressive form of calligraphy works.
