He Jinyuan, styled Wenxi, was born in 1957 in Guzhen Town, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province. He has been fond of calligraphy and painting since childhood, and thanks to guidance from numerous senior artists, he has gained a profound understanding of traditional Chinese art. He is well-versed in poetry, calligraphy, painting, and seal carving, and also enjoys music, chess, and rhythm. He excels particularly in traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy. While inheriting tradition, he does not rigidly adhere to ancient conventions; while pursuing innovation, he never oversteps established norms. He loves traveling to famous mountains and rivers and enjoys befriending artists from all over the world. He has been repeatedly invited to participate in art exchanges in Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, as well as international cultural and art exhibitions held at embassies in Beijing, including those of the United States, Russia, Bulgaria, and South Korea. His works have won numerous awards in national, provincial, and municipal calligraphy and painting competitions. Many of his pieces are collected by institutions such as the Nanhai No.1 Museum, the Sun Yat-sen Former Residence Museum, and several foreign embassies in China, as well as by private collectors at home and abroad.
       Currently, he is a member of the Guangdong Calligraphers Association, Director of the Zhongshan Artists Association, Director of the Zhongshan Calligraphers Association, Painter at the Traditional Chinese Ink Painting Research Institute, and President of the Guzhen Town Calligraphy and Painting Association in Zhongshan City.
