Chen Jiesheng

Chen Jiesheng, born in ChaoYang District, Shantou City, Guangdong Province, is the master of Yunqi Studio. He was educated at home from a young age and has been involved in calligraphy since childhood. He has never stopped practicing calligraphy. He started learning calligraphy from his father at an early age, mainly focusing on Yan Zhenqing and Ouyang Xun, while also studying the styles of Wang Xizhi, Wang Xianzhi, Zhao Mengfu, and Pan Linggao. Later, he studied calligraphy for many years under the renowned calligrapher Tian Yingzhang, and has won first prize multiple times in various calligraphy competitions. His ink wash painting focuses on meticulous brushwork, and he is also skilled in freehand style. He learns from the ancients but is not bound by them, and his works are fresh and elegant. His paintings and calligraphy are widely collected by people from all walks of life. Personal Experience and Honors: In 2017, his work won first prize in the 52nd Tian Yingzhang Calligraphy Special Training Class Live Writing Competition, In 2017, he won first prize at the Guangdong Brush Conference Shenzhen Brush Conference, In May 2018, his calligraphy works were invited to be exhibited in Japan.
