 Zhou Qinyu, native of Neiguan Town, Lianping County, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, also known as Jiulianshan, has taken refuge in the Three Jewels and his dharma name is Dunxiang.Ministry of CultureMember of the Chinese Society of Social Arts, calligraphy creation teacher at Beijing Renhe Calligraphy and Painting Academy, member of Lanting Association, and head of Shenzhen Qunyingtang. He has won first prize in the First National Online Calligraphy Competition, bronze award in the National Couplets Competition, and excellent award in the "Socialist Core Values" National Calligraphy Competition. Since childhood, he was inspired by his uncle and has been passionate about calligraphy; he systematically studied calligraphy under the famous calligrapher and senior teacher Mr. Zou Xinfan; he often humbly learns and exchanges with famous calligraphers across the country. For many years, he has never stopped practicing calligraphy and widely collected and studied calligraphy theories and ancient brush techniques. He pursues the idea that the true skill lies beyond the characters, so he often studies the I Ching and the Buddhist, Taoist, and Tang and Song poetry and prose of Chinese excellent culture; he mainly practices the works of Wang Xizhi, Yan Zhenqing, and Mi Fu. However, he respects the ancients without being bound by them, striving to integrate the Daoist concept of yin-yang and moderation, the Taoist idea of unity between heaven and man, following nature, and the Buddhist thought of compassion and selflessness into calligraphy, giving it soul, emotion, connotation, flavor, and natural vitality, etc., in a broad sense!
