Shen Xusheng, male, Han nationality, born in Guanbu Town, Chaoyang District, Shantou City, Guangdong Province, a prominent figure in the Guangdong calligraphy circle, a Chinese male singer, a Chaozhou-born calligrapher, the master of Zui Mo Hall. He has been deeply interested in calligraphy since childhood, long-term study of ancient famous stele inscriptions, his works have won the first prize in the national competition of the Li Xiangqun Civil Defense Art Competition, the first prize in the Great Wall Computer Cup Calligraphy Competition, participated in the 5th Guangdong Youth and Middle-aged Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition (organized by the Guangdong Calligraphers Association), participated in the first "Han Yu Cup" Art Competition, representative songs: "A Lonely Man", "Don't Go"... Currently serves as a registered calligraphy teacher of the China Calligraphers Association, member of the Guangdong Calligraphers Association, and member of the Guangzhou Tianhe District Calligraphers Association.
The Unique Craftsmanship of Zui Mo Fragrance 一一Also Appreciate the Artistic Path of Young Calligrapher Shen Xusheng Qiu Shikun In the city of Guangdong, in Longyi Road of Guangzhou, one can hear a place called the "Book Fragrance Pavilion". This is the Binyun Calligraphy Education Institution. A horizontal plaque hangs on the top, and two couplets are carved on both sides: "Smoke and Clouds Welcome the Spring Dawn, Clear Breeze Comes, Ink and Fragrance Bring Elegant Feelings." These were specially created and inscribed for it by me, with both regular script and cursive script, complementing each other and creating a harmonious beauty. This is the master of the place, Mr. Shen Xusheng, a young calligrapher from Chaozhou. He is devoted to this art, intending to teach and cultivate good deeds! Xusheng is a person born in the late 70s, son of the Shenzhen family, with an average family background, eight siblings, his father passed away early, and his mother is now old but still strong. He is the fifth child, naturally handsome and a Chaozhou native, devoted to calligraphy, and highly skilled in singing. As a young man, he dared to go out, worked in Guangzhou for several months, then returned home to work as a lawyer, later went back to the provincial capital for welfare, performed in bars, and managed property, experiencing many difficulties, tempering his character, forging a tough spirit, so that although Xusheng looks young, his face shows maturity, which is not easy. Xusheng is a good person. I think, if there is a chance, there will be a connection. Therefore, my acquaintance with Xusheng also comes from the ink and brush connection. Several years ago, the young calligrapher Li Guanghui introduced Xusheng to visit me and give guidance on his works. We greeted each other with smiles, treated each other sincerely, and it was very pleasant. Xusheng is sincere, every time we meet, he treats people with his heart, polite and courteous; he is modest, always approaches others with warmth and enthusiasm, like a warm spring; he is serious about his work, always gives his heart and soul to his profession, with a strong will. Such a high level is not something ordinary people can achieve, yet young Xusheng can do it, commendable commendable! Xusheng's art is excellent. I think, if there is good, there will be even better. Xusheng loved art since childhood, especially calligraphy and singing, and was already well-known at a young age, attracting much attention. He entered society at a young age, supported himself, left his hometown, dared to cross the mountain pass, stayed in Guangzhou to start a business, struggled forward without fear of wind or rain. Although he is tall and thin, he has a strong will, great ambitions, does not waste time, sings and writes at the same time. Xusheng spends his spare time practicing calligraphy, continuously, learning different styles, complementing each other, eventually achieving success. He initially started with Han dynasty cursive script, pursued the ancient style of Zhangqian Stele, thick and solemn, with rich spirit, full of positive energy, happy and fulfilled; later focused on running and cursive scripts, following Mi Fu's style, then connected with Wang Duo, Su Dongpo, Sun Guoting's naturalness, forming his own calligraphic interest. Xusheng's artistic path is broad, receiving much support from teachers and friends, especially Mr. Binglun from Suisui who has helped him greatly, and Mr. Guanghui who has been very supportive, always helping with everything, encouraging him with his heart. Now, Xusheng's path is clear, direction is clear, motivation is sufficient, conditions are good, and he is constantly moving towards higher and farther goals. Congratulations congratulations! Xusheng has a kind heart. I think, if there is fragrance, it will be fragrant. Calligraphy can perfume me, kindness spreads across the world, Xusheng deeply understands the highest level of cultivation, which is the quiet goodness. Therefore, he values harmony in life, considers kindness as beautiful when helping others, uses fragrance as a medium, and takes honesty as the foundation of his actions, preferring to inconvenience himself rather than cause trouble to others. When he was in business selling alcohol and cigarettes, he emphasized genuine goods, never deceiving people; when he was working as a singer, he emphasized internal strength, never misleading people; when he was engaged in training, he emphasized image and quality, never harming people. Therefore, he has a good reputation in the industry and the calligraphy circle. Recently, Xusheng has started to engage in calligraphy education, improving the calligraphy learning environment, highlighting the traditional cultural identity, hoping to nurture and strengthen the next generation of the calligraphy circle, realizing personal value and self-ink fragrance. At this moment, I suddenly remember an ancient saying from Qin: "The one who meets on the narrow road wins, the brave meet the brave and the wise win, the wise meet the wise and the benevolent win, the benevolent meet the benevolent and the righteous win, the righteous meet the righteous and the loyal win, the loyal meet the loyal and the scholar wins."
