Fang Weiqiang

Fan Weiqiang, born in 1975 in Shenzhen, Guangdong, graduated from Xi'an Jiaotong University. He has been passionate about calligraphy since childhood, constantly delving into its study. His calligraphy emphasizes the beauty of brushwork, ink, and composition. His cursive and running scripts seek to be unique, with vigorous brushwork and a harmonious blend of movement and stillness, allowing him to express himself freely.

       He is currently a member of the Contemporary Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Arts Research Association and the China Hard Pen Calligraphy Association, as well as an academic committee member of the Contemporary Young Chinese Painters and Calligraphers Association.

       He has received the "International Art of Calligraphy, Seal Carving and Painting, Contemporary Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Art, World Hard Pen Calligrapher (Senior Painter) Honorary Certificate", "2019 Annual Art Model Figure", "Special Representative Art Ambassador for the 70th Anniversary of Sino-Russian Diplomatic Relations", and was selected into the National Database of Chinese Painters and Calligraphers. He has been honored with titles such as "National Gift Artist" in 2020, "Outstanding Chinese Artist", and "Leading Figure in Contemporary Artists". His works have been included in more than 30 art encyclopedias, including "Comprehensive Dictionary of Chinese Calligraphers and Painters", "Dictionary of Chinese Overseas Calligraphers and Seal Carvers", "Dictionary of International Modern Calligraphers and Professors", and "Comprehensive View of Chinese International Literature and Arts".
