      Chen Foxi, style name Jinghong, pseudonym Moxiang Yashi, born in 1974, is from Zijin County, Heyuan City, Guangdong. He is engaged in calligraphy creation and calligraphy education in Shenzhen, and is a well-known contemporary calligrapher with solid skills. He is currently a member of the China Artists Association, a member of the China Hard Pen Calligraphy Association, a member of the China Plaque Calligraphy Association, a member of the China Calligraphy Art Education Association, a director of the Guangdong Shenzhen Branch of the China Guofeng Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute and the Shenzhen Qingfeng Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, a signed artist of China Calligraphy and Painting Masters Network, a member of the Guangdong Calligraphers Association, vice secretary-general of the Shenzhen Qingfeng Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, calligraphy advisor of the Shenzhen Hakka Culture Exchange Association, vice president of the Shenzhen Longhua Lvying Volunteer Association, leading teacher of the Shenzhen Yuanyuan Cultural Arts Training Center, and president of the Shenzhen Moxiangge Painting and Calligraphy Academy.
       Since childhood, he has been connected with ink, showing great talent in calligraphy. For decades, he has studied various styles of Yan, Ouyang, Liu, and Zhao, especially skilled in small regular script. His works have solid foundation, drawing on the strengths of many masters, with smooth, elegant, upright, and neat brushwork. For large characters, he draws on the style of ancient masters, with bold, thick, simple, and flexible strokes, reflecting rich connotations and demonstrating personal character, gradually forming his own unique style.
       His regular script works are mainly based on Ouyang, but also incorporate the spirit of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi. The density and sparsity are appropriate, the strokes are thin yet proper, maintaining stability amid slanting, and openness within compactness, showing his solid calligraphy skills. His cursive and running script works have well-proportioned structure, beautiful shapes, and the brushwork flows like clouds and water, achieving a seamless effect. The characters are strong and powerful, dignified and generous, with reasonable structure, having both bone and flesh, stable yet agile.
       For many years, he has actively participated in cultural and artistic exchanges and public welfare activities at home and abroad. His works have been exhibited in national and provincial exhibitions multiple times and have been included in various calligraphy collections and published in numerous newspapers and magazines. He pays great attention to the inheritance of calligraphy. After establishing the Moxiangge Painting and Calligraphy Academy, he frequently participates in painting and calligraphy activities held by the Shenzhen Citizens' Center, conducts calligraphy training, and has received recognition and praise from all sectors of society.
