Ye Shiguang, a native of Heping County, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, was born on May 10, 1952. He is a graduate with a junior college degree, has been engaged in education for decades, and after retirement, he has not given up his aspirations. He has successively participated in the elderly calligraphy associations at the city and county levels, persisted in practicing calligraphy, and occasionally painting and photography. His calligraphy has won honor certificates and awards from relevant organizations across the country and cities. He has participated in many calligraphy exhibitions and been included in related calligraphy books, including the "Hunlun Song" collection for the 120th anniversary of Chairman Mao's birth, the "Moyun Jinqiu" collection for the city's efforts to create a civilized city, the "Moha Qiusuo" collection of ancient calligraphy copies by local calligraphers, and the county's "Fengyun" collection. He has also participated in many charity events to write Spring Festival couplets for charity sales. He has been hired as a calligraphy teacher by many training centers. He was interviewed by CCTV at the Shenzhen Wenbo Palace, and he won the third prize in the county's first mobile phone photography competition, receiving a trophy, certificate, and prize money!

He has exchanged with renowned calligraphers such as Zhou Shijun and Chen Fuxi from Beijing and Shenzhen. Senior elders such as Ye Shengnan, Ye Bing, and Ye ZiJie have written articles titled "Shuimo Danxin - Ye Shiguang" which were published on multiple Ye family platforms. In the Heyuan city area, he wrote on stone slabs, and this was made into a TikTok video by a local official, Mr. Liao, who praised him as "a master among the people, a folk calligrapher"! He was compiled into the "Damei Zhongguo" individual special issue by national hundred media, and was praised by the famous calligrapher Luo Cheng as a "renowned calligrapher with a kind heart, upright spirit, and virtue." The works "Military Spirit," "Military Spirit Forever," and "Aspirations for Peace" are preserved by the officers and soldiers of the Heping County Fire Department. He has also joined the "National Calligraphy and Art Professionals Talent Pool," and received a nationally recognized certificate, which can be searched on official websites in multiple countries!
In 2020, he had exchanges with several famous calligraphers from Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province, and Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, and provided inscriptions for many companies. Works such as "Harmonious Wind," "Harmony," "Steady Progress," and "Benevolent Breeze and Clear Weather" have been collected by the Heping County Library! He also participated in charity auction activities and was hired as a calligraphy teacher by the county's charity organization. At the same time, he was rated as "Most Beautiful People's Artist of 2020" by authoritative mainstream media such as "China.com" and "Sohu." The work "Sailing Far and Wide" was recommended by the Heyuan City Senior Calligraphy Association to the Municipal Committee for exhibition, and was included in the "Glorious Seventy Years" calligraphy and painting special edition of the Municipal Committee, and I received a certificate and prize money. When a group of senior elders from the hometown of the Provincial Party Secretary Ye Zhenqin, Ye Hongbin, came to Heping, Guangdong to trace their roots, I wrote "Roots in Guangdong" for them. In recent years, I have written "The Ye Family is One Big Family" for Mr. Ye, who runs a company in Yexian, "Wang's Porcelain Paper," "Military Spirit," and "Police Spirit" for the chairman of the Jingdezhen Ceramics Industry Group, Mr. Wang, and the former police chief of Zhuhai City, Mr. Chen.
