Wang Shuhua

Wang Shuhua, styled Yijing, is a graduate of university and a native of Xi’an, Shaanxi. She is currently a member of the Gansu Calligraphers Association, the Gansu Women Calligraphers Association, a senior calligrapher and painter of the Gansu Painting and Calligraphy Association, and a member of the Gansu Science and Technology Calligraphy and Painting Association. Having devoted over thirty years to calligraphy, her works are characterized by rigorous composition, balanced layout, forceful brushwork, and a harmonious blend of strength and gentleness, often regarded by peers as works of male masters. Her calligraphy pieces have won numerous awards at national, provincial, and municipal levels and have been honored as “Famous Figure of Contemporary Lanzhou”; her works are permanently archived in archives. For many years, she has actively participated in various public welfare activities, serving as a volunteer of the Lanzhou Volunteers Alliance, a member of the Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles Qipao Culture Research Association, and a member of the Volunteer Federation. She has frequently taken part in Beijing volunteer activities and has been awarded titles such as “Most Beautiful Volunteer” and “Outstanding Member”.
