Zhang Wujun, male, Han ethnicity, specializes in ink-wash peony painting, was born in February 1971 in Longxi, Gansu. He has been passionate about calligraphy, painting, and literature since childhood and has consistently pursued his artistic endeavors.
From 1996 to 1998, he studied freehand brushwork flower-and-bird painting at the Xindu Art Academy in Chengdu, where his graduation work won first place.
In 2006, his work was selected for the CCTV-7 exhibition "Depicting the New Countryside: National Fine Arts Exhibition."
In September 2012, his work was selected for the "Red Journey, Cultural Huining" Yu Nong Cup Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition.
