 Rui Feng, original name Chen Xiaogang, master of Moxiangzhai, is nearing thirty years of age and hails from Huating City, Pingliang District, Gansu Province. He is the grandson of the renowned Gansu calligrapher and painter Chen Bujuan. An avid reader, he is a post-literati-style painter and currently serves as a member of the Hanlin Academy of Calligraphy and Painting in Beijing, a member of the Wujitang Academy of Calligraphy and Painting in Beijing, a member of the Gansu Provincial Artists Association, a member of the Pingliang City Artists Association, a council member of the Huating City Artists Association, and vice chairman of the Huating City Youth Artists Association. He is also a full-time painter at the Yizhou Academy of Calligraphy and Painting in Huating. Skilled in bird-and-flower painting, he specializes in flowers and insects, capable of both detailed and freehand styles. His primary focus is on expressive bird-and-flower ink painting, with in-depth research into Song and Yuan dynasty bird-and-flower art. His style follows the traditions of Ba Da, Wu Changshuo, Qi Baishi, Zhang Daqian, Wang Xue Tao, and Ren Bonian; his calligraphy excels in Stone Drum Script and Jin Nong style. His works exhibit a bold, refined, and distinctive charm, appealing to both connoisseurs and the general public. His works have been exhibited multiple times and have received awards, and have been published in various magazines and newspapers.
