Li Yuquan, male, pen name: Yu Mo, born in the 1950s, from Zhuanglang County, Pingliang City, Gansu Province. He enjoys literati painting and specializes in freehand brushwork of the Four Gentlemen, peonies, and landscapes. In 1999, his ink bamboo painting won the Outstanding Award at the county-level calligraphy and painting exhibition. His ink paintings of the Four Gentlemen have been permanently collected by the county archives and library. In 2017, ① his ink painting "Plum Blossoms" was exhibited at the China-Australia Twin Cities (Kaifeng, China — Melbourne, Australia) Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition and received an Outstanding Award. ② His ink painting was also exhibited at the "Beautiful Zhenbeipu" National Invitational Exhibition and National Calligraphy and Painting Competition hosted by the Ningxia Calligraphers Association. In 2018, ① his landscape painting was exhibited at the "Let the Works Speak: Between Mountains and Waters" National Landscape Painting Exhibition hosted by the Henan Ten Thousand Cultural Art Center and received an Outstanding Award. ② His ink painting "Plum and Bamboo" was exhibited at the Chinese Artists' Creative Exhibition and Invitational Exhibition of Masters from Both Sides of the Taiwan Strait, jointly organized by the Taipei News Association, the Ministry of Culture, and the National Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, and displayed at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taipei, Taiwan, where it received the Outstanding Prize. ③ His ink painting "Clouds and Mist Mountain Villa" won the First Prize in the "Ink and Brush Splendor" National Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting Competition held in Beijing. ④ His ink bamboo painting was selected for the exhibition "A Thousand Years of Pure Breeze — Commemorating the 1000th Anniversary of Wen Tong’s Birth: The Chinese Contemporary Ink Bamboo Exhibition."
