Guo Jin, male, also known as Cong Yong and Rumo Shanren, is from Tongcheng, Longzhong. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Lancheng University and furthered his studies at Northwest Normal University, during which he repeatedly studied under renowned masters of the northwest region. Since childhood, he has been immersed in the local calligraphy culture, deeply absorbed in the art of brush and ink, extensively practicing famous calligraphy models, and profoundly influenced by the styles of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi. He has persistently practiced calligraphy daily, dedicating himself wholeheartedly to the art. He excels in a style that blends running script with cursive elements, integrating naturalness with fluid brushwork; his calligraphy is elegant and unrestrained, characterized by mature, forceful, and ancient yet beautifully self-sufficient strokes. His works are rich in classical charm, delivering powerful visual impact and profound aesthetic appeal.
Major Achievements
Member of the China Hard-Pen Calligraphy Association, Outstanding Young Calligrapher of the China Academy of Academies, Member of the China Calligraphy Education Association, Gansu Calligraphers Association member, Beijing Renhe Academy of Painting and Calligraphy Academician. His works have been collected by the Yixing purple clay teapot industry, published as a personal calligraphy album by the China Philatelic Culture Center, and featured by Sohu, Baijia Hao, and Artron.net. In 2017, he was honored as a National Virtuous and Artistic Young Artist; his works have been frequently published in painting and calligraphy journals and collected by numerous renowned painting and calligraphy academies, government institutions, and distinguished figures.
