Personal Profile

Mao Ran, born in 1966, is originally from Tongwei County, Gansu Province. He enlisted in October 1984 and previously served as a美术 editor and photojournalist for the magazine "Armed Police Academic," and was the chief photographer for the first and second sessions of the "Boao Forum for Asia."He is currently a member of the Shaanxi Artists Association, a member of the Shaanxi Yu Youren Calligraphy Society, a member of the China Folk Photography Association, a council member of the Yunnan Zhongshan Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, vice president of the Kunming Zhongshan Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, a member of the Shaanxi Photographers Association, president of the Yunnan Branch of the Shaanxi Chang'an Academy of Painting and Calligraphy Art, and president of the Yunnan Xizhu Academy of Painting. He also serves as vice secretary-general of the Yunnan Handicraft Industry Association, vice secretary-general of the Yunnan Great Wall Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, honorary chairman of the Shanghai County Calligraphers Association, honorary president of the Yunnan Gansu Chamber of Commerce, advisor to the Social Service Committee of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the China Democratic建国Association, honorary president of the Pu'er Academy of Painting and Calligraphy Research, and honorary president of the Yunnan Golden Peacock Academy of Painting and Calligraphy.
