Dong Xuping, male, Han ethnicity, from Lixian County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, pen name: Ximo Shanren, born in April 1990, holds a bachelor’s degree, currently employed at a university, and is a member of the Shaanxi Provincial Youth Calligraphers Association and the Xi’an Municipal Youth Calligraphers Association. Since childhood, he has been passionate about painting and calligraphy, practicing by copying classical master calligraphy models; he began his training in Li-style regular script during elementary school, later focusing primarily on Yan-style regular script, receiving guidance from Teacher Yang Jianfeng, Vice President of the Gansu Hard-Pen Calligraphy Association, and Teacher Qin Libin, Vice Director of the Gansu Provincial Calligraphy Association. Through diligent private practice, he has participated in numerous painting and calligraphy exhibitions and won multiple awards!
In 2019, he won the Third Prize in the "Mingmo Cup" National Calligraphy and Painting Competition. In 2019, he received the Nomination Award for Distinguished Artists in the "Magnificent Landscape" National Master Calligraphy and Painting Competition.
