He Haodong, male, styled Youran, also known as Xungong Qingniu, was born in 1997 in Gansu, Tianshui. He is currently a member of the Dongke Calligraphy and Painting Academy of Tianshui, a member of the Maiji District Calligraphers Association, and a member of Yimoxuan Calligraphy and Painting Association. Influenced by the literati and artists of his hometown, he has loved calligraphy since childhood. Under the meticulous guidance of Mr. He Ankang, a renowned calligrapher in Gansu Province, he has gained a deeper understanding of calligraphy and its theories. He has shown me the path forward in calligraphy and strengthened my passion and devotion to it. The ancients said of calligraphy: first, one must possess noble character; second, one must learn from the ancients. This is the method of calligraphy, which students must practice until it becomes second nature to their hands, but they must first cultivate virtue within themselves. When virtue is internalized and calligraphy is expressed through the hand, this is how it should be done. He has adopted the maxim: “Writing with sincerity brings endless joy; dedicating heart and soul to one’s work leads to a splendid life.” The sea of calligraphy is boundless, and the ocean of art has no horizon—I am determined to pursue this path endlessly……
