Personal Profile
Wei Tianxing, formerly known as Tianxing, was born in 1966. He is styled Wu Liang Jushi and Master of Sui Hun Studio, from Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, Gansu. He is a council member of the Beijing Gu Yan Calligraphy and Painting Academy. He is also a standing council member of the Sheng Tang Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute in Xi'an. For over forty years, he has persistently practiced calligraphy, studying Qin and Han methods and extensively copying models from the Jin and Tang dynasties, with a particular fondness for the "Two Wangs." He is a member of the China Poetry Association; a member of the Chinese Calligraphy Research Institute's Research Society; a member of the China-New Zealand Cultural Promotion Association; a vice chairman of the China Culture Development and Exchange Association; a standing council member of the International Association of Artists; and a member of the Wuwei City Calligraphers Association.
