Wu Yangsheng, also known as Youren, was born in 1957 in Luozhou, Cangshan District, Fuzhou City. He graduated from the Art College of Fuzhou University, completed China's first calligraphy advanced research class, and further studied at the advanced research class of Chinese painting at China Academy of Art. He is currently a council member of the China Fine Arts Association, a member of the China Calligraphers Association, a national first-class artist, director of the Luozhou Calligraphy and Painting Academy under the Zhongyi Foundation, vice president of the Wuyi Mountains Painting Academy, vice president of the Zhongyi Fujian Peony Painting Academy, vice president of the Fujian Shengyi Calligraphy and Painting Academy, council member of the Fuzhou Cultural Exchange Association, painter at the Fujian Yanshan Painting Academy, cultural advisor of the Fujian Eight-Min Positive Energy Association, and has been awarded titles such as "Min School Artist," "Honorary Artist of the Sydney Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Academy," "Cultural Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka," and "Outstanding Contribution Artist of the Eight-Min Positive Energy."
