He Youchun, known by his art name "Gao Shan Ren" and studio name "Yi Xuan," is a specially appointed calligrapher of the China Culture Publishing House, holding a senior professional title and listed in the National Talent Database. He currently serves as a council member of the China Contemporary Calligraphy and Painting Association, Fujian Provincial Business Federation Standing Council member, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Strait Art and Culture Research Institute, Director of the Fujian Chongde Calligraphy and Painting Art Museum, Vice President of the Fujian Old Scientists Association (Hongru) Ink and Brush Calligraphy Academy, council member of the Fujian Collectors Association, and a cultural art collector.His primary collections include purple clay teapots, calligraphy and paintings, high-end historical commemorative volumes, jade, stone seals, coins, and book labels. He specializes in calligraphy, integrating it with purple clay teapots and paper-cutting art by engraving calligraphy onto teapots, thereby merging calligraphy and teapots into a unified artistic form—“characters travel with the teapot, and the teapot gains value through the characters”—enhancing the artistic charm of purple clay teapots. His combination of calligraphy with paper-cutting further stands out as a distinctive highlight, widely admired by audiences both domestically and internationally.His works have been collected by Chinese communities in Taiwan, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, the United States, and beyond. He once inscribed the title “Chongqing Ship People” for a publication issued by the China Navy Philatelic Research Society. In 2010, he inscribed “Shanghai Expo” and “Harmony at Home Brings Prosperity in All Things,” engraved on purple clay teapots, which won a gold medal at the exhibition. In 2011, he was included in the Chinese monumental reference volume “Children of the East.” In 2013, he participated in the China Calligraphy Masters Competition commemorating the 110th anniversary of Deng Xiaoping’s birth; his work “Virtue Bears All Things” won a gold medal. He also competed in the Cross-Strait Global Senior Calligraphy Masters Exchange Competition, where his piece “Goodness and Dao” received a gold medal.
