Dong Yaochan, pen name Huanlewa, is a writer from Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, and a member of the Lianjiang County Artists Association of Fujian Province. Born in November 1972 in Houwan Village, Tailu Town, Lianjiang County, Fujian Province, she graduated from Fuzhou Kindergarten Teachers' School in 1991 and completed her studies in Elementary Education at China Central Radio & TV University in July 2004. She is currently enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program at Fuzhou Educational College, Fujian Province. Her novels, travel notes, and essays have been published online and in newspapers and periodicals. On April 21, 2010, she began studying oil painting under Mr. Chen Minghua, a member of the China Artists Association and Honorary Chairman of the Lianjiang County Artists Association. Due to her ingenious compositions and bold use of color, her first oil painting, "Spring Joy," was exhibited at the Lianjiang County Art Gallery. Subsequently, over twenty oil paintings, including "Cheering Pigeon," "Paradise for the Homeless," "Imprisoned Spring," and "Fujian Provincial Museum," were displayed at the Lianjiang County Museum and Art Gallery, earning widespread popularity. While writing and painting, she enjoys listening to Li Yuchun's "Queen and Dream" and Beethoven's "Symphony No. 5." Her literary and artistic creations are characterized by exceptionally rich imagination. Editors have nicknamed her "the second Li Yuchun" because of her emphasis on efficiency. After a car accident, she withdrew from the art scene for nearly six years and made a comeback in June 2017, focusing primarily on humorous and witty painting styles!
