Lin Guolai

Lin Guolai, pen name Lin Mu, is a native of Longjing Village, Fengshan Town, Hu'an County, Fujian, and a teacher at Hu'an No.3 Middle School. He is a member of the Municipal Calligraphy and Literature Associations, and a council member of the County Calligraphy and Literature Associations. In October 2013, his work won the Silver Award at the First "Moyuanbao" National Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, and in November 2014, he received the Bronze Award. In April 2015, he won the First Prize at the Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting Competition hosted by the Chinese Hard-Pen Calligraphy Association and the "Xizhi Calligraphy and Painting Daily." In June 2015, he received the Second Prize in the Youth Category at the First National Youth Couplets Calligraphy Competition. In July 2015, his work won the Gold Award at the Nanjing Yangtze River Calligraphy and Painting Academy's Exhibition Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Victory of the Anti-Japanese War. In April 2016, he won the First Prize in the Online Competition hosted by the Chinese Hard-Pen Calligraphy Association. In September 2016, his work was exhibited in the "Forever in Memory" Exhibition hosted by the Hunan Province Calligraphy and Painting Artists Association to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Mao Zedong’s passing. His calligraphy essay "My Simple Characters Extend Beneath My Feet" was included in the Proceedings of the First "Chinese Excellent Calligraphy" National Teachers' Calligraphy Competition. In addition, I have actively participated in county- and municipal-level calligraphy and painting competitions and exhibitions, winning awards, etc.
      Calligraphy art is boundless; I am merely an ant, hence I call myself the Master of Yizhai, and I am committed to continuously pursuing and creating, striving to constantly elevate my artistic level and forever advance in the ocean of art!
