 Chen Wenzhen, male, was born in 1958 in Jinjiang, Fujian—the hometown of the renowned calligrapher Zhang Ruitu and one of the most livable cities in China.   Mr. Chen Wenzhen resides in Dazhai, Cizao, with an ancestral hall in front and a schoolhouse behind, a place rich in cultural and spiritual energy. From an early age, he was deeply influenced by his elders' cultural cultivation; even before entering primary school, he delighted in tracing characters carved into stone tablets and had already recognized hundreds of characters.   During his schooling, under the guidance of numerous distinguished masters, he diligently studied more than a dozen calligraphic styles, including Ouyang, Yan, Liu, Li, Xing, Zhuan, Cao, Wei, Song, and others. He repeatedly won awards in various competitions. Having taught for over forty years, he has created shop signs for countless businesses, inscriptions for dozens of temples, hundreds of stone carvings, and thousands of couplets and calligraphic works. Both he and his students have won numerous awards at town, city, provincial, and national levels. He received the Double Bronze Award in the National Calligraphy and Painting Competition commemorating the 110th Anniversary of Mao Zedong’s Birth. He received the Silver Award in the National Calligraphy and Painting Competition commemorating the 30th Anniversary of Mao Zedong’s Death. He received the Gold Award in the Second National Calligraphy and Painting Competition on Tang Poetry, Song Ci, and Yuan Qu. He received the Gold Award in the National Calligraphy and Painting Competition commemorating the 35th Anniversary of Mao Zedong’s Death. He received the Gold Award in the National Calligraphy and Painting Competition commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Creation of the National Anthem. He received the Gold Award in the National Calligraphy and Painting Competition celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Hong Kong’s Return. He received the Gold Award in the National Calligraphy and Painting Competition “Ink and Brush Praise the Great Leader,” commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China. He received the Gold Award in the National Calligraphy and Painting Competition “The Olympics Have Me…”… Mr. Chen Wenzhen’s calligraphic works have been included in numerous major art albums and are cherished by major museums, libraries, and art connoisseurs. Mr. Chen Wenzhen has been honored with prestigious titles such as Outstanding Counselor of Quality Education Nationwide, One of the Hundred Outstanding Innovators in Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy and Painting, One of the Hundred Masters of Mao Zedong Thought Artization, Civilized Star, Pioneer of National Art, Outstanding Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Artist, and Contemporary Master of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting…… Mr. Chen Wenzhen is contracted by multiple galleries and art academies as a calligraphy artist. His works have been sold across many provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions of China, as well as Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, the Philippines, Singapore, the United States, Canada…… His works have been admired and favored by United Nations Peace Messengers, World Peace Messengers, and enlightened individuals.
