Jiang Menglong, ancestral home in Liancheng, Fujian, born in Yong'an, Fujian, formerly known as Yongde, commonly uses pen names such as Zhiqing, Tie Shou, Yi Ming, Jiuru Jushi, and Master of Niyuxuan. He graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Xiamen University in 1994 and is a member of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang. With broad interests, he has experienced various industries and extensively studied poetry, painting, calligraphy, and seal carving, diligently mastering ancient brick engraving techniques. He admires Hongyi and follows the styles of the Two Wangs. His university mentors include Hong Ruisheng, Li Weisi, Hong Huizhen, Yu Gang, He Shiyan, Qi Yuechun, and others. During his student years, he participated in the production of Li Weisi’s twelve zodiac sculptures in Chinatown, USA, and contributed to the planning model of Xiamen Island under teachers Jiang Zhiqiang and Liu Qian. With over 20 years of hands-on experience in fine arts and calligraphy education, his students are spread across all eight major art academies. In 2012, he became President of Yanjiang Yin She; in 2015, he founded Menglong Academy. He excels in Chinese painting, particularly flower-and-bird subjects and landscape painting; his calligraphy covers a wide range of styles, with special expertise in seal and clerical scripts.
