Personal Profile

You Zuozhong, male, born in 1956, from Minqing, Fujian. Chairman of the Minqing Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Chairman of the Minqing Calligraphy Association. Member of the China Poetry Society Council, Fuzhou Writers Association Council, and Fuzhou Calligraphy Association Council. Served five consecutive terms as a county CPPCC member and standing committee member. In 2016, appointed Chairman of Fuzhou You Zuozhong Cultural and Art Co., Ltd. His calligraphy works have been selected for the middle school geography atlas textbook approved by the Ministry of Education. Participated in the 2018 China Calligraphers Association Calligraphy Research Class; won the First Prize at the 58th International Calligraphy Exhibition hosted by the Tokyo Art Museum in Japan, the Gold Award at the First Fujian Youth Calligraphy Exhibition, and the Gold Award at the Fujian Environmental Protection Calligraphy Exhibition. He has conducted personal calligraphy touring exhibitions in over twenty major cities across Southeast Asia on three occasions, received the title of Provincial Advanced Worker, and enjoys municipal model worker government allowance. His biography is included in the Dictionary of Chinese Calligraphers.
