Lin Muyou, male, born in September 1963, is from Zhangzhou, Fujian, with a college diploma. He is currently employed by the Yunxiao County Education Bureau, a member of the Communist Party of China, and a senior teacher. He is a member of the China Calligraphers Association, a member of the Central Government Agencies Calligraphers Association, a registered calligrapher of the China Cultural Arts Talent Management Center, a member of the Beijing Zhongxuan Shengshi International Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, and a specially appointed advisor to the Shuangyan Academy in Zhejiang Jinhua. In December 1989, he graduated via correspondence from the Wuxi College of Calligraphy Art, deeply influenced by renowned calligraphers such as Lin Sanzhi, Zhou ZhiGao, and Hua Jishan. He initially studied the styles of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi, Ouyang Xun, and Yan Zhenqing, later turning to Zhao Mengfu, and has practiced calligraphy without interruption for forty years, excelling particularly in running and cursive script. In recent years, under the guidance of Chen Yiming, a council member of the China Calligraphers Association, and Zhu Yisa, deputy director of the Academic Committee of the China Calligraphers Association, his calligraphic art has achieved profound insight. His works have participated in national calligraphy competitions with outstanding results, repeatedly winning gold medals or first prizes. He received an excellence award in the "Tianmao Cup" and "Lanjú Cup" organized by Calligraphy Newspaper, and a third prize in the Sixth National Teachers' Calligraphy Creation and Evaluation; he won the gold medal at the 13th National Chongyang Festival Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, and his works have been published multiple times in Calligraphy Newspaper. Particularly, his work in the Fujian Provincial Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition commemorating the 180th anniversary of Lin Zexu's destruction of opium at Humen received high praise from leaders of the China Calligraphers Association and audiences alike. His biography has been included in the 2020 China Cultural Arts Yearbook, and he has been awarded the Honor Medal for "Culture Entering Every Household."
