Personal Profile
Huang Wenjing, courtesy name Fengmi, art name Yiqingchen, was born in 1971 in Xiamen, Fujian, China. She later studied calligraphy under Master Ke Youze, Chairman of the Taiwan Yuanxu Calligraphy Association, and Master Yang Lianfu, President of the Taiwan Moyuan Society. She believes that calligraphy not only cultivates one’s character and nurtures inner peace, but also promotes longevity. Calligraphy is not only a treasure of Chinese culture and the essence of textual art; with just a single sheet of paper, a brush, and ink, it takes on countless forms under different hands—truly fascinating. Calligraphy is also literature, archaeology, and philosophy. Studying calligraphy brings multiple benefits in one pursuit. Her works have this year been exhibited at the 36th International Lanting Exhibition, the Classic Winter Auction by Taiwan’s China Times, and the Yuanxu Gengzi Year Exhibition, among others, and have been highly favored and collected by collectors. General Yu Guiyong also owns her works.
