Wang Shucheng
Wang Shucheng, born in 1947, is from Weifang, Shandong. His courtesy name is Zhongxian.
In 1964, I started teaching Chinese as a major and had a passion for painting. In 1989, I switched to teaching Chinese painting and music art. I am skilled in calligraphy and painting, particularly in flowers, birds, plum blossoms, and bamboo. I am particularly famous for my small freehand painting of cats. The cats in the pen are all simple and elegant, vivid and humorous. Its cat combines the strengths of modern masters such as Liu Fangting and Chen Zengsheng, forming its own family. In 2016, he was hailed as the "Lu Zhong Elvis Presley" in Chinese painting. His works have been exhibited multiple times both domestically and internationally and have won awards. In 2015, he was awarded the certificate by the Quality Department of the Ministry of Culture.
