Zhang Zongchao, also known as Heyin Langzi, was born in Xingyang City, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. Although he grew up in poverty, he had a passion for painting and was obsessed with it since childhood. In his teens, he attended the Yellow River Art School in Zhengzhou and was influenced by the landscape painter Wang Liumin (Mr. Wang Yuan). At school, he also received guidance from famous calligraphers and painters Tang Yurun (Mr. Wang Yuan) and Ren Qi (Mr. Ren Qi), and was particularly fond of freehand landscape painting and meticulous flower and bird painting.
For many years, he has always taken the art of calligraphy and painting as the fun of his spiritual life, and has been studying unremittingly. While focusing on absorbing the nutrition of his mentor, he has also participated in some domestic calligraphy and painting exhibitions and competitions, from which he has absorbed its essence, improved his shortcomings, and improved his own level. As a result, he has won many affirmation and awards, and his works have also been loved and collected by many people.
