Wei Jiexiong

Gu Zi, formerly known as Wei Jiexiong and nicknamed Bai Lanju Ren, was born in 1972,GuangxiGuigang people, Zhuang ethnicity, specializing in calligraphy and painting. At the age of six, he studied calligraphy and painting, never stopping by the pond. He was first introduced to Yan style, then to European style, and later to Erwang, Zhiyong, Chu Suiliang, Wang Duo, Liu Gongquan, and others. Later, he learned the brushwork from Wei steles and formed his own system. I started painting with oil painting and later specialized in traditional Chinese painting. I studied under professors Shang Zuoshu, Li Zhengguo, and Zheng Wanlin from Guangxi Academy of Arts. In addition, he has also dabbled in seal carving, poetry, music, and other related fields.
