Liu Xiqi, born in December 1951. Graduated from the China Academy of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy through correspondence education. Currently a member of the Board of Directors of the China Calligraphy and Painting Collectors Association, Vice President of the Art College of the China Green Carbon Sink Foundation, Honorary President of the Handan Branch of the Sai Shang Luxi Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, Member of the Board of Directors of International Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Art Network and Chief Art Consultant of the Calligraphy and Painting Channel, Advisor of the Yan Jimei Research Association, member of the China Senior Citizens' Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, member of the Hebei Province Senior Citizens' Calligraphy and Painting Association, Deputy Chairman of the Handan City Retired Cadres' Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, Vice Chairman of the Handan City Senior Citizens' Calligraphy and Painting Association, Special Correspondent Editor of "Contemporary Art Masters", Special Correspondent of Calligraphy and Painting Journal, Visiting Artist of "China Artist" Magazine and Yulin Calligraphy and Painting Creation Base, Senior Artist of Zhao Du Academy of Calligraphy and Painting. His works were selected for the 2016 "Masterpieces of Contemporary Artists" calendar. He has written "The Most Commonly Miswritten Difficult Seal Characters".
       He was taught by his father since childhood, initially learning Tang dynasty regular script, especially skilled in seal and clerical scripts. He once studied under teachers such as Li Shoucheng, Cui Zhi, Zhu Bohua, and Su Chao yi, and his calligraphy skills have been constantly improving. In 2000, he wrote the seal script of "Reply to Ren An"; "Tao Te Ching" by Laozi. In 2004, he wrote the seal script of "Shu Pu" by Sun Guoteng.
