Shi Qiekangda, whose lay name is Xu Chengfang, is a Han Chinese born in Minxian, Gansu Province. He resides at Puzhao Temple in Miyun, Beijing. Main experiences: Opening the gate of sweet dew and saving the suffering world. Shi Qiekangda has been intelligent, kind-hearted, and helpful since he was young. In 1998, he met a holy cause by chance and got to know a layman who studies Buddhist studies, thus forming a connection with Buddhism. On February 19, 2000, he was ordained as a monk under the compassion and wisdom of Buddha at Fayu Temple on Mount Putuo, Zhejiang Province. In 2002, he entered Fujian Buddhist College and graduated in 2006. While systematically studying Buddhist theoretical knowledge, he also visited famous teachers and practiced Zen meditation in places such as Ayyubhara Temple in Ningbo, Tiantong Temple, Youmin Temple in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, Yunju Mountain True Asana Temple, and Taemu Mountain Pingxing Temple in Fujian Province. In 2008, under the guidance of high monks Yicheng and Chuan Yin.
