Personal Profile

Ye Xiangyang,Guangdong Meizhou native. 72 years old this year. Learned calligraphy at the age of 6, and painting at 14. Studied in art schools and Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts for eight years. Has been engaged in calligraphy art for 66 years and Chinese painting for 58 years. Currently a member of the China Artists Association, vice chairman of the China National Painter's Association, vice chairman of the National Health Calligraphy and Painting Association, and former secretary-general of the Beijing Hu She Painting Society. Many of his works are collected in places such as the Tiananmen Gate Tower, the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, the National Museum, and the Zhongnanhai, and have been presented as state gifts to foreign heads of state. China Education Television, Beijing Television, and Meizhou Television have produced and broadcast multiple special programs on Ye Xiangyang's art. He has organized and served as leader and judge for national calligraphy and painting exhibitions.
